MSBiV provides its academic partners and affiliated entities the financial resources and the complementary expertise needed to accelerate and facilitate the commercialization of high potential technologies.

Reduced to its essence, MSBiV’s goal is to bring together the different partners required to move a new technology rapidly from lab to market, whether via a spin-off company or via a license to .

Academic partners: MSBiV works closely with the universities of McGill, Sherbrooke and Bishop’s, as well as their affiliated research and hospital centres, identifying innovations with commercial potential. These world-class institutions have strong research programs with annual R&D expenditures exceeding half a billion dollars, which each year produce a significant number of invention declarations for MSBiV to review.
