MSBi Valorisation (MSBiV) is dedicated to commercializing seed stage innovations in information technology, life sciences and the physical sciences, that are based on technological advancements and inventions originating from McGill University, the Université de Sherbrooke and Bishop's University, as well as their affiliated hospitals and research institutes

MSBiV brings industry knowledge and relationships to the existing effort of bridging the gap between discoveries resulting from university research and the marketplace.

MSBiV specializes in sectors that are at the forefront of innovation today, including information and communications technology, life sciences, the physical sciences and energy. It works with its university partners to hand-pick projects that will receive funding for development activities, including assessing commercial potential, devising intellectual property strategies, conducting technology and market planning and, ultimately, creating the business or technology transfer plan for those projects which prove successful.

MSBiV benefits significantly from its privileged relationship with venture capital investors - in particular its partner iNovia Capital - making it a valuable resource for connecting innovation and customers. MSBiV has an extensive network of sector-specific business and science contacts in all areas of innovation and research, and it passes on the benefit of that network on to its partners. As a result, MSBiV can quickly identify opportunities and bring the right experts, the right entrepreneurs and the right investors to the table to see a project through to fruition.
